The ideal candidate:

Registered Nurses with acute care and 1-2+ years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Mother Baby – Post Partum hospital experience in New Jersey & New York.

The L&D Registered Nurse provides direct patient care. The Registered Nurse collaborates with patients, family/significant others, peers, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the delivery of healthcare services to patients. Assesses the patient’s needs, plans care, implements and evaluates the medical and nursing regimens in accordance with the hospital and nursing philosophy, policies/procedures and standards. He or she demonstrates leadership skills and commitment to professional accountability and growth

The ideal candidate will have hospital/in-patient/bedside experience. Will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
  • Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
  • Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies
  • Assist surgeons during operations
  • Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current New York or New Jersey state RN licensure and registration
  • BSN (preferred)
  • BLS certification (through American Heart Association) is required
  • ACLS certification (through American Heart Association) is required
  • Knowledge of current nursing, medical and health trends and practices in rendering of patient care.
  • At least 1-2+ years of Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Nursing experience
  • IV insertion, conscious sedation and phlebotomy skills
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  • EMR experience – Epic is preferred
  • IV Certification, CCRN – preferred
  • Successful completion of Department and Unit Training & Orientation Program
  • Provide current COVID vaccination card

Pay Rate: $75.00 – $95.00 per hour
